Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between the sets?

Zen Starter includes 18 markers and one book.

Zen Harmony includes 30 markers and two books for a fuller experience.

Are the illustrations AI-generated?

No. Every page in every Melmar color magic book is hand-drawn by our illustrator. We believe the care that goes into each composition is part of what makes coloring it so calming — and it’s something no AI can replicate.

Are the markers safe?

Yes. Our markers are alcohol-based, non-toxic, and conform to ASTM D-4236 and EN71 safety standards. Designed for adult use.

What makes Melmar color magic markers different from cheaper marker sets?

Three things: a Japanese nylon brush tip that keeps its shape and flows smoothly, German alcohol ink for rich, blendable color, and an extra-large ink reservoir holding significantly more ink than standard markers — so they last far longer before running dry.

Why do your sets have fewer colors than some marker sets?

By design. Every Melmar color magic palette is hand-curated so each color earns its place — no near-duplicates, no overwhelming wall of options.

Staring at 80 markers deciding where to start is the opposite of relaxing. A thoughtfully chosen palette means you spend your ritual coloring, not choosing — just pick up a color and begin.

Can I buy the books separately?

Yes, additional books are available separately.

When will I get my order?

Ships from our US warehouse in 1–2 business days. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days.

What is the return policy?

Every order is covered by our 30-Day Happiness Guarantee — if it’s not for you within 30 days, we’ll make it right.

Damaged or defective items are replaced free of charge. Email hello@colormagicstudio.com with your order number to get started.

Do the markers bleed through the page?

Yes — they’re alcohol markers, which is what makes the colors so rich. Every set includes a protective sheet that keeps the next page clean, and the back of each finished page looks like a soft watercolor painting.

Pages are thick, high-quality stock and perforated, so you can tear out finished pieces to frame or gift.
